Discover a different way of feeling Chipiona
Chipiona is in a privileged location in the province of Cadiz, only a few kilometres away from the Doñana National Park and washed by the Atlantic Ocean. Its main tourist attraction has traditionally been its beaches of fine and golden sand, awarded year after year with the Blue Flag of the Clean Seas of Europe. For more than one hundred years it has been recognised that the waters of Chipiona are favoured by a high Iodine value which gives it a known healing power, therefore here was located the first Maritime Sanatorium of Spain.
Chipiona offers so much more, some examples of this are monuments as the Nuestra Señora de Regla Sanctuary, the lighthouse, which is the highest in Spain. The cuisine in Chipiona is as varied and rich as its land: the sea, the soil, as well as the vineyard. Its best known typical dishes are cooking by fresh local fish, without forgetting the renowned and award winning Muscatel, which is produced in these lands. More information
